Sharon Osbourne is speaking out about that phone call from Simon Cowell.
During Monday’s episode of “The Talk”, the co-host addressed Cowell’s claims that he called her to squash their beef, stemming from their time on “The X Factor” together.
“I phoned her up the other day and said, ‘Look, I’ll be honest with you. How could I criticize you for being mouthy when it’s the reason I hired you in the first place?'” Cowell told The Mirror.
He added, “Sharon gets a bit carried away but deep down she’s got real affection for the shows.”
“Well, we were never, for me, not, not friends. Because for me, it was business, not personal. And there’s a huge line,” Osbourne said on Monday’s show. “That’s what happens when you work with people you like. You fall out biz-wise, but for me, I say what I feel at the time, and for me, it’s over. And because I said certain things about, and to, Simon doesn’t mean I hate him forever, just for that second I don’t like him… He’s okay, it’s just, I don’t want to work with him.”
But when her co-host Sheryl Underwood asked “how much money” it would take for Osbourne to rejoin “The X Factor”, Osbourne said, “He can give me what he paid Robbie Williams out of his own money… It would be about seven mil, so – love you baby.”
Osbourne served as a judge on the first three seasons of the show from 2004 till 2007, before returning in 2013, 2016 and 2017.
“The Talk” airs weekdays at 2 p.m. on Global.
