Jamie Lee Curtis Shares Glimpse Of ‘Halloween’ Sequel

The anniversary edition of “Halloween” is getting two new sequels, “Halloween Kills” and “Halloween Ends”.

“Halloween Kills” will come out next year and the film’s star Jamie Lee Curtis has shared a first look.

Curtis confirms production has begun on the sequel by sharing an on-set selfie of her in costume for the role of Laurie Strode.

The sequels are following last year’s 40th-anniversary edition of “Halloween”, which also starred Curtis.

“Curtis has always been terrific in the role of Laurie Strode, the best ‘victim’ in horror, and it’s true again here, even if the script doesn’t give us a lot beneath the warrior shell she’s forged for herself. If this is her final Halloween film, and that’s far from a safe bet, it’s a fitting goodbye,” said NME’s Olly Richards in a four-star review of the film, “It’s not a match for her first outing, and it was never likely to be, but 40 years on it’s the closest any sequel has come.”

Curtis attributes her return to the “Halloween” franchise to a call from Jake Gyllenhaal.

“He called me and said, ‘I’ve just finished this movie with this dude and he’s really cool, it was a very good creative experience for me and he wants to talk to you about a ‘Halloween’ movie, will you talk to him?’ That was it,” she told NME.
