Tequila’s taking Miranda Lambert home in the latest song off her upcoming album Wildcard.
The Texas native debuted the most recent track off her seventh studio album Wednesday — and she’s given us yet another hit.
What she describes as a “honky-tonk song,” the mid-tempo track sees Lambert leaning towards tequila because the cowboy who drinks domestic beer doesn’t meet her expectations.
“But the boys around here / Drink domestic beer / They’re all hat, no cattle,” she sings.
She continues in the uptempo chorus: “Cause he don’t love me like tequila does / Nobody can.”
“Tequila Does” joins already-released songs off the record “Locomotive”, “Pretty Bitchin'”, “Mess With My Head”, “Bluebird”, and the album’s lead single “It All Comes Out in the Wash”.
Also released is her fiery girl-anthem “Way Too Pretty For Prison”, featuring Maren Morris.
Lambert is currently on her “Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars” tour, which carries out through the fall and boasts an all-female lineup of openers, including Elle King, Tenille Townes, and Maren Morris. Her recently announced “Wildcard” tour will kick off in 2020, with guests Cody Johnson and Lanco.
Wildcard arrives November 1 and is available for pre-order now.
