Vin Diesel can’t wait for fans to see John Cena in action in “Fast And Furious 9”.
The actor, 52, took to Instagram from the set of the upcoming sequel on Thursday to praise his co-star and his acting abilities.
“Week 16… ‘Fast 9’ and it truly is as Jordana [Brewster] says, a bittersweet moment because someone who I’ve had the great pleasure of working with, John Cena, is finally filming his last day,” Diesel said in the video.
He says fans will be “blown away” by the WWE superstar in the new film. “I have to tell you when you see him in this movie, when you see his character come to life you will be blown away,” Diesel promises. “You are going to be ecstatic about what he’s contributed to this saga.”
Diesel added, “I’m so so so proud of him, I can’t even put it into words.”
Cena will join “Fast & Furious” regulars Diesel, Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson in the upcoming ninth installment.
“Fast & Furious 9” is scheduled for a May 2020 release.
