Chatting with the hosts, the 39-year-old actress revealed that she told her young daughters about some key plot points in “Frozen 2″ — and then wished she hadn’t.
“I’m in trouble because I did not have them sign an NDA [non-disclosure agreement],” Bell joked.
“We worked on this movie for so long, we’ve worked on it for over two-and-a-half years. So, I come home and I learn a new song, and I sing it to them at night in bed. And then, I would, like, tell them new story plots, and then I realized, oh my god, I really need to be careful.”
Bell, who shares two daughters with husband Dax Shepard, added: “The problem is, they’re terrible secret keepers, so I really got myself into a pickle.”
She also shared some info about a new songs from the movie that she thinks are going to go over huge with the “Frozen” fan base. “Yes, well we tease something that Idina [Menzel] sings called ‘Into The Unknown,’ which is a breathtaking song,” she said. “I have a song, it doesn’t hit those high notes because I’m of the opinion, if you have Lebron James on your team, you don’t try to dunk… I do more emotional comedy stuff, and then Idina’s got two songs that are just going to blow people’s minds.”
During the interview, she also opened up about the recent viral video she posted on Instagram showcasing her emotional reaction as one of her daughters belts out Lizzo’s “Good As Hell”.
“Number one, my kids have excellent taste in music. Number two, to be honest, just pride. I love that she is the kind of girl that would wake up in the morning and sing a Lizzo song,” Bell exclaimed. “That is such an empowering song and my kids love empowering music. I was just like bursting with pride… we were at a red light and she started singing… it just warmed my heart so much.”
Meanwhile, Bell can be seen in the final season of “The Good Place”, airing Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
