The Amy Sherman-Palladino empire continues to collide as actor Liza Weil, known for playing Paris Geller in “Gilmore Girls”, joins the third season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.

Weil also had a role in Sherman-Palladino’s “Bunheads”, and now joins Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) on her journey to take her standup comedy on the road.

Sherman-Palladino is clearly very loyal to her community; the song in the just-released new trailer (above) is sung by “Bunheads” star Sutton Foster.

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is set in the late 1950s, and has won numerous awards for writing, directing and acting, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series. And on Rotten Tomatoes, the people have spoken, scoring the first season with 94 per cent and the second 91 per cent. Both very fresh.

For those who still need convincing to check out Amazon Prime Video hit comedy, here is a quick synopsis: Miriam “Midge” Maisel is a stay-at-home mother in Upper West Side New York. She has always wanted to have a great husband, endearing children, and the best Jewish home in the city. But then, life twist, turns out she has a knack and a half for standup comedy.

If you still haven’t seen the first two seasons, you still have over a month to catch up. The third season will debut on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Dec. 6.
