Scarlett Johansson visits “The Ellen Show” on Wednesday and spills the deets on her fiancé Colin Jost’s romantic, James Bond-inspired proposal. The actress admits that the “Saturday Night Live” comedian “killed it” when he popped the question, joking that “he’s got a lot behind that [‘Weekend Update‘] news desk.”
She adds, “He’s very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. But yeah, I was surprised. Even if you kind of imagine what that moment’s gonna be like, it’s still beautiful moment.”
The “Avengers: Endgame” star also reacts to the surprising news that Dolly Parton wants Johansson to portray her in a biopic. DeGeneres gives the crowd a good laugh when she explains why she thinks the singer chose Johansson.
The daytime show host said that Parton must have chosen Johansson “for her breasts” and joked that the actress must have “taped them down” during Wednesday’s episode of “Ellen”. Johansson agreed jokingly that she “taped her breasts over her shoulders and to her back.”
But on whether Johansson is game for playing Parton, the actress said, “I don’t know I have to talk to Dolly about it.”
The 34-year-old actress also comments on her first time playing a mom in the new comedy “Jojo Rabbit” (in select theatres on Oct. 18) and shares the trailer for her upcoming drama/comedy “Marriage Story” alongside Adam Driver.
And Johansson couldn’t leave the show without playing Ellen’s new game “Who Dat?!” Watch the actress get tested on her knowledge of her fellow Hollywood celebrities.
