Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are saving a lot of money on Halloween costumes.
Mendes dropped by “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Thursday and the two celebrity moms shared some very relatable stories. Mendes dished on how her daughters — Esmeralda, 5, and Amada, 3 — demand on wearing the same Halloween costumes every year.
“They’re constantly dressing up,” she said. “And our kids are obsessed with ‘Wizard of Oz’ and Dorothy, so they’ve been Dorothy every year.
“Financially, great,” Mendes admitted. “We’re like, ‘Let’s, you know, maybe we could do like a bloody Dorothy?’ Like, ‘I could just put some blood on you or something! ‘Cause really? Dorothy again?'”
Clarkson was presented with a more complicated challenge when it came to her daughter River’s costume requests.
“What my daughter did was tell me she wanted to be Princess in Black,” the singer said of her five-year-old. “We’re reading these books. There is no costume for that. I had to make it happen and put it all together with all of my free time, Eva.
“I would love it if she wanted to be Dorothy every Halloween,” Clarkson quipped, noting that River quickly changed her mind and wanted to be Anna from “Frozen” instead.
