Sam Heads To College As His Parents’ Relationship Grows Even More Complicated In First Look At ‘Atypical’ Season 3

The third season of “Atypical” is around the corner, continuing the adventures of autistic teenager Sam Gardner (Keir Gilchrist), and fans can expect big changes when the show returns — not the least of which is Sam heading off to college.

In a new preview for the upcoming third season of the Netflix dramedy, Sam begins navigating college life and living away from home for the first time — which he finds to be both daunting and exhilarating.

Meanwhile, his parents, Elsa (Jennifer Jason Leigh) and Doug (Michael Rapaport), are also adjusting to changes in their lives as their children become more independent — made their relationship even more fraught as the couple struggles with how to relate with each other in the wake of Elsa’s infidelity.
