The Boss is home.
Bruce Springsteen made a surprise visit to his hometown of Freehold, New Jersey to introduce his concert/documentary film “Western Stars”. The movie shares the same name as his 19th studio album.
Springsteen visited the AMC Freehold 14 movie theatre on Saturday night for the film’s first public multiplex viewing.
“We knew we weren’t going to tour, so I tried to figure out a way to get the music to you,” Springsteen told the audience — according to Variety.
“If you have applause, I would save it for the end of the film because the ending and the pacing of the film have its own message,” he continued. “Thanks for coming out,” Springsteen said. “Thanks for supporting me all these years, and enjoy ‘Western Stars’.”
“Western Stars” opens nationwide on Oct. 25.
