Prince William and Duchess Katherine are glass-half-full kinds of people.
The Duke and Duchess were forced to make an emergency landing after the Royal Air Force plane was caught in the middle of a severe thunderstorm. The airplane unsuccessfully tried to land twice in Islamabad, Pakistan before touching down in Lahore.
William and Middleton, both 37, had wrapped up their royal tour of Pakistan on Thursday. Since they had a little extra time, however, they decided to visit the SOS Children’s Village orphanage on Friday morning.
“That nurturing of this place really comes through,” William said during the visit — per E! News. “It’s like an arm wrapped around you.”
“It’s important that people talk about it and it’s not too taboo,” he said about mental health awareness. “In the west, we don’t really focus on emotional support.” Adding, “What you’re all doing is amazing and you’ve got two ambassadors in us.”
Middleton said it best: “So glad we came back to get the full picture.”
