Robert Pattinson Confirms He Won’t Encounter Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker In ‘The Batman’: ‘It’s Kind Of A Different World’

“The Batman” continues to build its cast, with Zoe Kravitz set to play Catwoman and Paul Dano as The Riddler, while Robert Pattinson will be making his debut as the titular Caped Crusader.

And while Jonah Hill’s talks about playing the Penguin reportedly fell apart, one iconic super-villain will not be a part of the upcoming reboot: Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker.

“Joker” director Todd Phillips has already stated that Phoenix and his unique take on the Clown Prince of Crime won’t be a part of Matt Reeves’ “The Batman”, which Pattinson confirms in a new interview with Yahoo! Entertainment while promoting his new film “The Lighthouse”.

“It’s kind of a different world,” Pattinson says of “The Batman”, adding that he still hasn’t gotten around to seeing “Joker”.

“I might watch it tonight!” he says. “Joaquin is the best — he’s awesome in everything.”

According to Pattinson, he still hasn’t seen the final version of his Batman suit, but notes that “Matt has got a really awesome idea about it. I think this thing is going to be very, very cool.”

When it comes to advice on wearing the Bat-suit, Pattinson went right to the source by speaking with director Christopher Nolan, who helmed the Christian Bale-starring “Dark Knight” trilogy.

“Chris told me a little bit about how to get the camo off my face,” Pattinson quips. “That amongst other things.”
