Craig Morgan is paying tribute to his late son, Jerry Greer, who passed away in 2016 at age 19, with an emotional new video for his powerful single “The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost”.

The video, directed by Ryan Mclemore, finds Morgan singing the heartbreaking song in the loft at his family’s The Gallery At Morgan Farms in Dickson, Tennessee, with the stained glass window featured in the video placed there in his son’s memory.

“A lot of video shoots seem to go on forever but I was honestly surprised by how quickly it went,” Morgan tells CMT of video. “It felt like we were done before we got started. I thought they did an amazing job portraying the message and vision of the song.”

There are no flashy gimmicks or quick-cut visuals in the video, and Morgan says that’s by design.

“Its simplicity embraces the truth of the lyrics of the song,” he adds. “I hope this video lifts people up. For anyone who has experienced loss, I want this song to give them the desire to pursue their faith and to have hope.”
