Kate Middleton wrote her first Instagram message Sunday after she and Prince William returned from their five-day Pakistan tour.
Kate wrote about how they’d visited the SOS Village in Lahore, where they met “vulnerable children, many of whom had come through traumatic circumstances.”
She praised the “quality relationships” the organization provided the youngsters.

The community at the SOS Village is built around family – and the best possible family you could imagine – where everyone comes together to nurture, love and protect the children in their care. These vulnerable children, many who have come through traumatic circumstances, are nurtured in this caring environment and are able to form these quality relationships that they so desperately need to thrive. — Catherine
The post comes as the Daily Mail reported the royals also made an unscheduled stop to visit villagers in the remote Wakhan region.
The family live in a one-bedroom home with no running water and no electricity; Kate reportedly asked the driver to stop after they visited a glacier in the Hindu Kush mountain range.
Their Pakistan tour also saw the couple play cricket, as well as visit the same cancer hospital Princess Diana visited in 1996 and 1997.
