Seth Meyers is starring in his very first standup special for Netflix, “Lobby Baby”.
Meyers steps out from behind his “Late Night” desk to host a show in which he talks about “family, fatherhood, and why you should never take your girlfriend to Paris for her birthday.”
The set, filmed at Pantages Theater in Minneapolis, also sees Meyers explain to his fans that “you can love a lobby baby as much as a hospital baby… in time,” referencing his wife giving birth to their second son in the lobby of their building.
Netflix unveiled a trailer earlier this month to mark the release, with Meyers attempting to get a bunch of kids to play with “Standup Seth” in the clip instead of their own toys.
He also recently revealed to CNN Business that his special will have a “skip politics” button.
He said, “It dawned on me that because it was on Netflix, there would be this opportunity to put in technology that would allow people to skip it.
“It was a way to build in the response to anyone who would say, ‘Oh, let me guess there’s going to be jokes about the President.’”
