Kesha dropped the epic, new music video for her latest single “Raising Hell” feat. Big Freedia Thursday.
The musician, who recently announced her upcoming album High Road, puts on her Sunday best at the start of the Luke Gilford-directed clip, dancing around a church with a group of gospel singers.
Despite a joyful start to the video, it soon takes a turn for the worst as she accidentally kills her abusive husband in self-defence then dyes her hair black and hits the road.
Kesha said of the track during an interview with SiriusFM Thursday: “I created ‘Raising Hell’ in the basement of a strange home I’d never been to before.
“I was with my friends, and we were talking about life, and how we’re all very good-hearted people, but sometimes we just like to do bad stuff. It feels good, and it’s fun to be bad sometimes.”
