Jennifer Beals has reunited with her “The L World” castmates Leisha Hailey and Katherine Moennig 10 years later.
In a new look at Showcase’s “The L Word: Generation Q”, a reboot of the beloved drama, sees the original series characters Bette (Beals), Alice (Hailey) and Shane (Moennig) join a diverse new generation of LGBTQ+ characters with Dani Nùñez (Arienne Mandi), Micah Lee (Leo Sheng), Finley (Jacqueline Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas) and Gigi (Sepideh Moafi).
Thanks to the new round of characters, Showcase called the new episodes “a bold new show, for a bold new generation.”
But the new season will ultimately focus on the newer characters and their struggles, “as they experience love, heartbreak, sex, setbacks and success in L.A.” Bette’s campaign to become the first lesbian mayor of Los Angeles is also a focus.
“The L Word: Generation Q” premieres Dec. 8 on Showcase.
