Jack White is the most recent celeb to throw his support behind presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

The musician joined Sanders at his rally in Detriot where he performed a cover of Bob Dylan’s “License To Kill”.

He started with “Icky Thump” and told the audience that he’d “never done a political rally before.”

“Bernie Sanders is telling the truth, and I really do trust him,” he said during his 25-minute set adding that he supports Sanders’ position to abolish the Electoral College — “the reason we’re in the mess we’re in now.”

“I have this silly notion that the person who gets the most votes should be elected,” he added.

He then performed “License To Kill” where he took aim at Donald Trump changing one of the lines to “who’s gonna take away Trump’s license to kill?”

White, joined by bassist Dominic Miller and drummer Ben Blackwell, ended their set by saying, “God bless you, peace be with you all and good luck Bernie!”

A number of musicians have shown their support for Sanders including Supercoolwicked and most famously, Cardi B.
