The director and cast of “Booksmart” were not pleased to learn their movie had been edited for airline viewers.

Last weekend, a passenger on a plane tweeted that a lesbian scene from the film had been edited out, noting that another film with a heterosexual sex scene had it left intact.

On Twitter, director Olivia Wilde responded to the censorship, questioning why the scene was so offensive it needed to be cut.

Later, on the red carpet at the Academy’s Governors Awards gala, Wilde added that, “my heart just broke.”

The film’s stars Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein said, “we’re on the case.”

And their work paid off because Delta confirmed to BuzzFeed that they would not only restore the same-sex love scene in “Booksmart” but also in “Rocketman”.

The airline claims that they were provided an “edited” version, but didn’t realize until now that the same-sex love scenes were removed.

“We are working to make sure this doesn’t happen again,” Delta said in a statement.
