Ewan McGregor discusses having to keep a huge secret from “Star Wars” fans during an appearance on Tuesday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
McGregor is asked by guest host Howie Mandel about reprising his role as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in a series for Disney+ and how he had to keep it a secret for four years.
The actor shares, “It’s awkward because the studio and the franchises, they want to keep everything totally secret, which I understand but as the person being asked over and over, ‘Would you do it again?’
“And I’m already talking to them about it but I can’t say that I am.”
“So for four years I was saying, ‘Well, I’d be happy to do it again! I’m just waiting for the call.’ It was embarrassing! Lying!”
McGregor also talks about his new film “Doctor Sleep” and plays a game of “Horton Hears Someone in the Attic”.
