Eddie Izzard remembers clear as day how the coming out of Caitlyn Jenner dominated headlines.

Izzard is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer and political activist. He also happens to identify as transgender. Izzard recently took a hike up to the famous Hollywood sign with Global’s “Saturday Night Live” alum Kevin Nealon.
Izzard reflected on Jenner coming out as transgender.
“A lot of press [and] eyeballs went to the fact that ok, fancy fair, this is a noise,” Izzard told Nealon. “And that was generally helpful because visibility went up.”

Izzard revealed how accepting his father was of his coming out. The two comedians also talked about running marathons nearly every day and working with Judi Dench and Stephen Frears.
