Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are currently co-stars on Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show”, but fans of “Friends” will recall that they also co-starred on the beloved sitcom, with Witherspoon in the recurring role of the sister of Aniston’s Rachel Green.

When the duo appeared on “The Graham Norton Show”, the host wanted to see how much “Friends” knowledge the two had retained all these years later, tasking guest Sir Ian McKellen to quiz them and fellow guest Julie Andrews on “Friends” trivia.

“Oh, she’s gonna win,” quipped Witherspoon, pointing to Aniston, who replied, “Oh, I don’t know that.”

McKellen, taking his role as quizmaster seriously, laid out some ground rules. “I’d like you to put your hand up if you know the answer.”

“Yes, sir,” Aniston replied.

The first question went to Aniston, who correctly recalled the first outfit her character wore on the show — a wedding dress, when a panicky Rachel ran into Central Perk immediately after leaving her fiance at the altar in the series’ pilot.

Next it was Witherspoon’s turn, asked if she could remember the line that came after, “This is about you being a brat wanting what you can’t have.”

“Can’t have? The only thing I can’t have is dairy!” Witherspoon answered, pointing out that particular line was actually said by her character, Jill Green.

Aniston took the next one, with Aniston answering that Rachel ruined her Thanksgiving trifle by putting beef in it. This led to some clarification from meticulous McKellen, who told Aniston that wasn’t technically correct, as the proper answer was shepherd’s pie, which is traditionally made with lamb. Aniston redeemed herself, however, by reminding him that Rachel’s recipe in the episode called for beef.

Andrews took the final question, and the 84-year-old “Mary Poppins” star revealed herself to be quite the “Friends” fan.

“When Ross dated Rachel, why did he feel it was fine to sleep with other women?” McKellen asked her.

“I know it!” she blurted out. “It’s because he said, ‘We were on a break.'”
