Jason Momoa sat down with MTV News‘ Josh Horowitz in iconic NYC music store Rivington Guitars, discussing everything from his new Apple TV+ series “See” to how he landed his big-screen role playing Aquaman while showing off his slide-guitar skills.
While discussing his DC Comics character, the conversation touched on the long-held fan rumour — and subsequent confirmation — that “Justice League” director Zack Snyder delivered his own cut of the critically reviled film after he was forced to step down as director due to a family tragedy, leading Josh Whedon (“The Avengers”) to take over directing duties.
According to Momoa, the so-called “Snyder Cut” is something he would like fans to see.
“I have seen it. I’ve seen the Snyder Cut,” Momoa said. “I think the public needs to see it. I’m obviously indebted to Warner and DC and I don’t know how they feel about it, but as a fan, I’m very, very happy that I got to see it.”
When Horowitz followed up with another question, Momoa possibly realized he may have said more than he should, and simply smiled and said, “I mean, listen man, next question.”
Momoa’s “Justice League” comments can be seen in the video above, right after the 12:40 mark.
