Maya Rudolph is heading to “The Ellen DeGeneres” show on Monday in an interview that was filmed before Halloween, despite DeGeneres forgetting when the episode would be aired.
The two chatted about Rudolph’s iconic entrance when Melissa McCarthy hosted.
“I’m a bit disappointed in your entrance,” DeGeneres admitted.
Rudolph made a solo visit as Kristen Wiig was planned to join her but was under the weather.
She then recalled about how she first met Wiig as a baby shower but then became friends when working on “SNL” together.
While Rudolph had exited “SNL” some time ago, she recently got returned to play Sen. Kamala Harris.
“I had the feeling I was going to get the call, I mean look at us,” she joked while showing a side-at-side picture of the two.
DeGeneres and Rudolph also spoke about her band Princess, a Prince cover band. Princess recently performed at Bonnaroo Music Festival which the comedian says she “was not prepared for.”
“The lack of clothing that I witnessed there,” she explained. “Apparently there is a new trend where people don’t wear pants, they just wear a thong. And there is just glitter all over their a**. It is just glitter a**.”
“So much glitter a**, Ellen,” she added. “It just never goes away.”
Rudolph’s full interview airs on Nov. 4.
