SPOILER ALERT: “Avengers: Endgame” spoilers below.
Turns out Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland aren’t the only superheroes dishing out “Avengers” spoilers.
Chris Evans recently dropped by “The Tonight Show”. Evans told Fallon how he accidentally spoiled a significant “Avengers: Endgame” scene for co-star Anthony Mackie.
“They had given me the scene where I gave the shield to Mackie,” Evans recalled. “While we were filming in Atlanta, I had a few people over to watch football and Mackie was the first one to show up.”
“I didn’t know he didn’t know what was going to happen,” the actor continued. “I say, ‘Hey man, isn’t that scene fantastic?’ and he said, ‘What scene?’ And I said, ‘The scene where I give you the shield!’ And he said, ‘You’re giving me the shield?’”
Evans went and grabbed the script and showed it to Mackie. The two shared a sentimental moment as Evans was the first person to witness Mackie’s reaction to the shield exchange.
“Avengers: Endgame” was a massive blockbuster success, grossing nearly $2.8 billion worldwide and breaking numerous records.
Evans also played a game of “Know Your Bro” with his brother Scott during his appearance on the show.
They took turns answering questions about each other, such as: “What is something Chris did growing up that your parents still don’t know about?” and “What is Scott’s most embarrassing childhood memory?”
