Kay Burley is one news anchor you don’t want to cross.
On Wednesday, the Sky News morning anchor was faced with a no-show by interview subject U.K. politician James Cleverly. Rather than move on, Burley interviewed an empty chair instead.
“It was supposed to be filled by the chairman of the Conservative party,” Burley pointing to the empty chair. “Where is he? He’s probably 15 feet away from where I’m standing just at the moment. I’ve been in to see him during the break. He said he wasn’t due to come and talk to us today, although they had said that they would talk to us.”
Cleverly pushed back on Twitter, explaining that during that time he was actually appearing on a talk radio show, claiming that he was never booked to appear on Sky News.

Burley responded that despite not being booked, Cleverly had agreed to appear on her show.
Meanwhile, viewers on Twitter applauded Burley for standing up to Cleverly with her empty chair interview.
