The terrifying new trailer for Elisabeth Moss’ latest flick “The Invisible Man” has been unveiled.
Moss is haunted by her violent, controlling ex in the first trailer, which sees her attempt to run away from the relationship before the character, played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen, appears to commit suicide.
A synopsis reads, “A woman receives the news of her abusive ex-boyfriend’s suicide. She begins to rebuild her life for the better. However, her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her deceased lover is not actually dead.”
Writer-director Leigh Whannell told Entertainment Weekly of shooting a film in which you can’t see the titular character: “The interesting thing was that I was constantly shooting these empty rooms, and empty corridors, and there’s something a bit uncinematic about that.”
“I mean, when you make a movie, the idea is that you put people in the frame — you put something in the frame. When you’re shooting nothing, it goes against the grain of every cinematic instinct you have!”
“The Invisible Man” is set to hit theatres February 28, 2020.
