Jimmy Fallon Puts University Of Texas Spin On ‘Thank God I’m A Country Boy’

Jimmy Fallon has gone country!

During Thursday’s “Tonight Show”, Fallon put his spin on “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” while marching through the streets of Austin, TX.

Sporting a Texas Longhorns T-shirt, Fallon walked into a campus bar where a crowd of students question why he’s there after flashing his New York I.D. He then proved to the students he is “Texas” in a hilarious parody of John Denver’s “Thank God I’m a Country Boy”.

With some help from the Longhorn nation, they parade through the streets while Fallon sang: “Ate hot sauce till it came out my nipples / Thank God I’m a country boy.”

Fallon continued to replace Denver’s original lyrics with digs at the University of Oklahoma: “Top of my lungs screamin’ ‘O-U sucks!’ Thank God I’m a country boy.”

Dressed in full western attire, he finished off the skit parading into Bass Performance Hall accompanied by the school mascot, the Longhorn marching band, fans, and Texas cheerleaders, singing: “Now it’s time for the show, gotta pick up the pace Got a roomful of Longhorns, I can’t make ‘em wait.”
