Though fans will have to wait for a collaboration between the two, Evans revealed he would love to do a duets album with his wife.

“Man, I think that would be really fun to do one day,” he tells Bustamante. “We’re definitely doing our own thing right now, and sort of each other’s biggest fans and cheerleaders and all that kind of thing, so we’ll keep it like that for a little while, but I don’t see why not.”

And there’s no slowing down the pair’s respective solo projects. Evans just released his brand-new single “Diamonds”, which is a love song written for Ballerini.

“Diamonds” marks the singer’s first new song since his 2018 debut album, Things That We Drink To.

“I love you like a diamond / And diamonds are forever / You know it when you find one / You never let go, ever,” he sings in the romantic track.

As for Kelsea, it was only appropriate she release a new song on the same day as her husband.

The 26-year-old gave fans another preview of her upcoming third album with her catchy new track “Club”.

The two first met while hosting the Country Music Channel Awards in Australia back in 2016, where they bonded over their love of tequila.

“We love tequila, man. We bonded over tequila,” says the singer. “After the award show was kind of a celebration shot. It’s been a thing in our relationship and I’m totally cool with that.”

Naturally, then, the couple had a tequila-themed wedding when they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Cabo San Lucas back in 2017. Their nuptials came almost one year after getting engaged on Christmas.

Along with the release of “Diamonds”, Evans continues his 26-date world tour through December.
