Kesha is putting her music knowledge to the test — and it’s worth hearing.
In Elle‘s musical game “Song Association”, the magazine offers a clever quiz to musical artists in order to test their song knowledge. The latest participant: Kesha, who recently released her new single “Raising Hell”.
“I will be given a word, and I will have 10-seconds to sing that word in a song,” says Kesha explaining the game, admitting, “I think I’m going to suck.”

The game kicked off with the first word — which, fittingly, was “first,” leading her right into the opening refrain of Gloria Gaynor’s disco hit “I will survive,” singing, “First I was afraid, I was petrified…”
Throughout the game, Kesha sings a huge variety of genre-spanning songs, ranging from Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” to Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” — and even her own hit, “Blah Blah Blah”.
There are even a few unexpected numbers in the mix, such as when she’s given the word “wish,” leading her to launch into Jiminy Cricket’s “Pinocchio” classic “When You Wish Upon a Star”.
