Broadway actress Laurel Griggs has died at the age of 13.
The young star died on Nov. 5 with a funeral service on Nov. 8 after suffering an asthma attack.
“It’s with heavy heart that I have to share some very sad news. My beautiful and talented granddaughter, Laurel Griggs, has passed away suddenly from a massive asthma attack. Mount Sinai was valiant in trying to save her but now she’s with the angels,” her grandfather David B. Rivlin wrote on Facebook.
“The world lost a real princess who only wanted to make the future happy for all,” he added in another post. “Acting was just a childhood dream come true and she had big plans for the future.”
Griggs made her Broadway debut at the age of 6 on Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She also holds the record for being the longest-running Ivanka in Once the Musical.
She also has a number of film roles under belt including “Café Society” and a few appearances on “Saturday Night Live”.
