Tamron Hall spoke about losing her “Today” co-hosting job to Megyn Kelly once again during an appearance at the 2019 Vulture Festival Saturday.
Hall told host Tracy Clayton at the Mailchimp Presents Going Through It Live panel of her February 2017 departure: “It was a specific reason: They wanted something that wasn’t me.
“At some point in all of our lives, the goalpost keeps getting moved to the point it’s invisible.
“And I’m not into being Charlie Brown to anyone’s Lucy, so I wasn’t going to keep kicking that football,” she added of choosing to turn down another job at NBC.
Hall, who has now got herself a new day time talk show, was replaced by Kelly, who ended up losing her show in October 2018 over her comments about wearing blackface as part of a Halloween costume.

Despite Hall not naming names, she did seemingly call out Kelly’s big payout, saying: “I did not have a $69 million-dollar contract. No shade to anybody who does. If you do, give me a loan!”

She said of not taking the deal which would have seen her stay at NBC, “It wasn’t that I did not know my value. It’s that others did not know my value.
“It was an easy decision, because there was no other decision to make.”
