Despite giving up the starring role in “The Matrix”, fans are finally getting a look at what Will Smith could have brought to the iconic film.
In an adorable homemade movie, posted to celebrate his eldest son Trey’s 27th birthday, Smith and Trey recreated the film in a very early 2000s way.
“When Trey Smith was growing up, every year for his bday we would shoot an episode of a home movie called ‘The Treytrix’ where I was the bad guy trying to kill him and he had to defend the family,” Smith captioned a taste of the homemade feature.

T-Ball, Happy Birthday, Man! It might be time to shoot another episode! I think I can get you now ;-)
The new clip comes just months after Will admitted that he turned down the role of Neo because he didn’t love the script.
“So I made ‘Wild Wild West;,” Smith joked to Entertainment Weekly. “I’m not proud of it… I probably would have messed ‘The Matrix’ up. I would have ruined it, so I did y’all a favour.”
“Wild Wild West” went on to bomb at the box office while the role of Neo shot Keanu Reeves into superstardom.
