Laura Dern is a big fan of Meryl Streep and it seems like that sentiment is reciprocated.

Dern appears on Tuesday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where she notes how the two actresses star in season two of “Big Little Lies” and Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women”. Dern tells DeGeneres it is a little weird that she and Streep keep sharing billing.

“It’s like ‘we’d work together already, Meryl, don’t keep following me. I said you were my hero.’ In fact, I saw her last night and I introduced she and my mother,” Dern says. “They had never met. My mom is a beautiful actor so they are both my heroes. That was really special.”

“Meryl is amazing. It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous to turn your head and see Meryl Streep,” Dern continues. “Well, it was also ridiculous to turn my head and see Ellen DeGeneres. Iconic best memories.”
