It’s Kristen Stewart vs. the FBI in the thrilling new biopic “Seberg”.
On Wednesday, the first trailer was released for the film based on real-life movie icon Jean Seberg, who was targeted by the the FBI in the late-1960s.
The poster for the movie, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, was also unveiled. The image is a profile shot of Stewart, with cropped blonde hair donning a blue and white striped dress, playing Seberg.
Following her rise to stardom in French New Wave films such as “Breathless”, the American actress became heavily involved in the revolutionary civil rights movement and had a romance with activist Hakim Jamal.
In the film, Seberg’s life, career and mental stability are slowly destroyed by the FBI’s surveillance and public harassment campaign to stop her activism.
Directed by Benedict Andrews, “Seberg” also stars Jack O’Connell, Margaret Qualley, Zazie Beetz, Vince Vaughn and Anthony Mackie.
