Katy Perry is joining forces with Prince Charles for a good cause.
Ahead of her performance at the OnePlus Music Festival in Mumbai, India on Saturday, the singer, 35, joined the royal at a meeting for the British Asian Trust.
The Prince of Wales’ official Twitter page shared photos from their time together with the following caption: “The Prince of Wales attended a meeting of the
British Asian Trust in Mumbai today… Katy Perry had heard about the work of the Trust and joined other supporters to learn more about this important work.”
The BAT tackles poverty across South Asia by helping people transform their lives.
Perry’s trip to India is her first in seven years. The last time she made the journey was with her former husband Russell Brand.
She shared her excitement to travel back on Twitter in August, writing, “I am so happy to be returning to India and excited to headline my first-ever performance in Mumbai. I am looking forward to seeing and singing with all of my Indian KatyCats at the OnePlus Music Festival.”
Meanwhile, Prince Charles will continue his solo tour of India through Thursday while celebrating his 71st birthday.
