Halsey has made her mark on the CMA Awards stage.
In a never-before-seen collaboration, Halsey joined Lady Antebellum at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to perform a genre-bending mashup, blending the trio’s “What If I Never Get Over You” with the pop singer’s “Graveyard”.
The medley began with Lady Antebellum’s sombre ballad as Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott delivered the powerful first verse while Halsey’s stunning vocals joined in the second. All their voices united in the chorus before transitioning into “Graveyard”.
Social media could not get enough of the mashup, with many hoping they’ll record a single together.
This collaboration was one of many during Wednesday’s CMA Awards. The show opened with an all-star tribute to the women of country music, while Brooks & Dunn teamed up with Brothers Osborne for “Hard Workin’ Man”, in addition to Pink and Chris Stapleton teaming up for their single “Love Me Anyway”.
“What If I Never Get Over You” is the lead single off the multi-platinum trio’s upcoming eighth studio album Ocean, due for release on Nov. 15.
