Stephen Amell Wraps Up On ‘Arrow’ Set For Good: ‘Best 8 Years Of My Life’
By Shakiel Mahjouri.
Star Stephen Amell has announced that the upcoming eighth season of "Arrow" will be its last, closing the book on the show that launched The CW's successful run of DC Comics series. “This was a difficult decision to come to, but like every hard decision we’ve made for the past seven years, it was with the best interests of "Arrow" in mind,” exec producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz said in a joint statement. “We’re heartened by the fact that 'Arrow' has birthed an entire universe of shows that will continue on for many years to come. We’re excited about crafting a conclusion that honours the show, its characters and its legacy and are grateful to all the writers, producers, actors, and — more importantly — the incredible crew that has sustained us and the show for over seven years.”
Amell announced on Thursday that he has wrapped up his final day on the set of “Arrow”. Season 8 is set to be the final outing of the show that Amell has anchored since 2012.
Words can’t even begin to express what Arrow has meant to me. Best 8 years of my life. The cast and crew of the show have become my family. I’m going to miss them. I’m wrapped.
