Another TV crossover is on the way — and this one will definitely require sunscreen.

According to TVLine, the worlds of “Hawaii Five-0” and “Magnum P.I.” will intertwine in a two-part extravaganza that will begin in one show and end in the other, set to air on Friday, Jan. 3.

A crossover between the shows is hardly unexpected, given that both series originate from CBS and both employ the same showrunner, Peter M. Lenkov.

Lenkov tells TVLine that the story will involve “our Five-0 guys kicking down doors” to track down suspect at a hotel — with no idea that PIs Thomas Magnum (Jay Hernandez) and Juliet Higgins (Perdita Weeks) are honing in on the same suspect.

“In a way, Higgins and Magnum become witnesses that Five-0 needs to help them,” Lenkov explains. “And our two worlds collide!”

Lenkov describes the two back-to-back episodes as comprising “a big-stakes story that really feels like a two-hour movie.”

“Hawaii Five-0” airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
