Wedding season is officially on! And Keira Knightly kicks it off right with a low key secret ceremony in the south of France to her beau of two years, Klaxons keyboardist James Righton.
Most surprising of all, was the 28-year-old actress’ choice in her wedding wear. We caught up with celebrity wedding planner, Mindy Weiss who thought her recycled Chanel dress from the 2009 was nothing short of fabulous and practical. “She wore this champagne-toned strapless ballerina dress, with a Chanel jacket and Chanel shoes. How chic, I can tell you right now because her dress is short, you are going to see short dresses in bridal shop windows everywhere.”;
While Keira mixed something old with something new, Honey Boo Boo’s mama, who also tied the knot over the weekend, stepped entirely out of the box with a camo gown. “I must say I have never had bride wear camouflage before,”; says Mindy who’s planned hundreds of weddings. “Honey Boo Boo herself may have been a little on trend in her pink neon dress, but it was quite interesting and I don’t think it will hit the trends any time soon.”;
While their huntsman-themed outfits may be unconventional, would we expect anything less from the TLC favourites? Mama (June Shannon) and longtime boyfriend, Sugar Bear (Mike Thompson) are all about having “wild’ times with family. “I heard they were riding ATVs and just having a great time,”; says Mindy.
In the end, just like Keira, Mama June didn’t go over-the-top with her “I dos.’ She tells People, “My sister baked the cake, and we spent most of the money on barbecue – we stayed true to our roots and made the focus on the family and my commitment to Sugar Bear. You can definitely plan an event on a budget!”;
