Some very lucky L.A. drivers experienced “Frozen” in a unique and hilarious way.
On Wednesday’s “The Late Late Show”, host James Corden invited the cast of “Frozen 2”, including Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff, to put on a new “Crosswalk the Musical”.
“Since we performed the iconic Les Miserables in Paris, people keep coming up to me saying, ‘James, when are you going to take this further? When will we see the company doing Madame Butterfly, La Traviata, Così fan Tutti?'” Corden said. “I look them in the eye and say, ‘Screw that! We’re doing ‘Frozen’.'”
The cast all got into costume as their animated characters from the franchise to put on elaborate, but very short productions of some songs from both “Frozen” and “Frozen 2” in the middle of a crosswalk while the pedestrian signal read “Walk”.
“I can’t believe it, this is a dream come true, ever since I was a little girl I have been running into crosswalks and breaking into song,” Bell said. “It has actually been quite a serious problem and there were a few close calls.”
“Frozen 2” hits theatres Nov. 22.
