Michael Jackson’s life is about to get the Hollywood treatment.
According to Deadline, a movie biopic about the legendary, controversial musician is in the works from “Bohemian Rhapsody” producer Graham King.
Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan has been tapped to pen the script. King and Logan previously worked together on Martin Scorsese’s epic Howard Hughes biopic “The Aviator”.
Jackson’s estate is reportedly on board for the biopic.
The singer, who died in 2009 at age 50, came to prominence as a child star. He went on to become one of the most important artists of the ’80s and ’90s. As an adult he was also subject to serious allegations of child sexual abuse, including paying out settlements.
Earlier this year, the HBO documentary “Leaving Neverland” detailed allegations from two men who were close with Jackson when they were children.
