Ryan Reynolds Drops By Will Ferrell’s Hilariously Awkward ‘Saturday Night Live’ Monologue

Will Ferrell returned to the “Saturday Night Live” stage, and became one of the few members of the exclusive Five-Timers Club (as in, celebs who have hosted “SNL” five or more times) who was also a cast member.

While Ferrell could have celebrated any number of different ways in his monologue, the show instead decided to invite Ryan Reynolds to watch from the audience, and it hilariously threw Ferrell off his game.

“You look a lot like Ryan Reynolds,” Ferrell said, distracted by the A-lister’s presence in the studio audience.

“I get that a lot,” Reynolds replied.”

Ferrell jokingly got flustered as he tried to get back into the rhythm of his monologue, but couldn’t keep it together and just kept asking Reynolds questions, including why he was there.

“Like I said, we’re big fans,” Reynolds said, explaining that his wife, Blake Lively, was watching from home.

“And she likes me too?” Ferrell asked.

“Probably more than me,” Reynolds quipped, sending Ferrell into a fit of nervous laughter.

When Reynolds encouraged Ferrell to just keep doing his monologue, the comic shot back, “No! The monologue is terrible!” And then began speaking in a bizarre impression of former “SNL” cast member and “30 Rock” star Tracy Morgan.

Ferrell explained that he starts talking like Morgan whenever he gets nervous, which is when Tracy Morgan himself came out, with a message for the “Deadpool” star.

“Ryan Reynolds, you listen to me! The prophecy must be fulfilled! This is Will Ferrell! I suckled from his comedy bosom, and like a young Luke Skywalker, it filled me with strength!”

After Ferrell thanked Morgan for getting him back on track, Morgan warned him, “If you talk like me again, I’m gonna bust yo’ a**.”

It was a weird, hilarious and wonderful way to induct Ferrell into the coveted “SNL” Five-Timers Club.

“Saturday Night Live” airs live coast-to-coast on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. PT on Global.
