Tom Hanks stops by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Tuesday to talk skydiving, “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”, and more.
Hanks explains how he jumped out of a plane a few years ago with his daredevil son, Chet. However, he made the mistake of eating a large breakfast beforehand.
The actor says once the instructor put the parachute up that he had to beg her to take things a little easier.

He shares, “She was doing this thing of swinging us around and I had had a huge breakfast burrito before the plane went off.
“So I begged her [to stop]. I just had to sit there for seven minutes waiting for my stomach to calm down [after].
“It was a damn good burrito though, it was really good.”
Hanks then talks about portraying Mister Rogers in “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”, and how the people in the beloved TV star’s hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania take Rogers very seriously.
