Elsa Pataky’s words are coming back to haunt her.
Last week, the wife of “Avengers” star Chris Hemsworth was quoted in Hola! magazine throwing some serious shade at Miley Cyrus, who was married to her brother-in-law Liam Hemsworth. The pair split up earlier this year after seven months of marriage. Cyrus immediately jumped into a brief relationship with Kaitlynn Carter, and then began dating current boyfriend Cody Simpson.
“My brother-in-law, well… After a relationship that you’ve dedicated 10 years to, he’s a little bit down, but he’s coping well,” she told the magazine. “He’s a strong boy and he deserves the best, I think he deserves much better.”
Pataky, who’s currently on a promotional tour in support of her new fitness book Strong: How to Eat, Move and Live with Strength and Vitality, appeared on Australian morning show “Sunrise” on Wednesday morning, and her comments about Cyrus came up.
“Now, you recently spoke to Hola! magazine. Tell us, how is Liam doing?” asked presenter Natalie Barr.
Pataky was quick to change the subject. “Look, Liam is doing great. But I prefer not to talk about his private life. He is the one that has to talk about it,” she replied.
“But he is getting happier and he has his family to just go and stay with, his brothers and best friend,” she added. “So that’s good, and he spent some time with us.”
