Carrie Underwood shared a sneak peek at her appearance in Brad Paisley’s upcoming TV special, and revealed how she managed to frighten “the living heck” out of her longtime CMA Awards co-host.
In the clip, which Underwood shared on Instagram, she gets behind the wheel of a truck to do some off-roading. Underwood, by the looks of the video, is one wild driver, and Paisley appears to be hanging on for dear life.
“You paid off this truck, right?” Underwood asks, laughing wickedly.
In her IG post of the video, Carrie made a joke involving husband Mike Fisher. “Now you know why @mfisher1212 won’t let me drive his truck!” she quipped.

Who knew. ABC Dec 3rd 8:7 Central
In a recent interview with Country Countdown USA‘s Lon Helton, Paisley discusses his upcoming ABC special and how he came to climb into a truck with Underwood, and how she managed to turn the tables on him.
“I had this idea for Carrie where I thought I’d take her out of her comfort zone,” Paisley explained. “My plan was to take her out in a truck to do some mudding. But that’s not what happened.”
Instead, Paisley said, “She took over the wheel, and she scared the living heck outta me. I’ve never seen the redneck side of her to this degree. There’s a lot of screaming, and it’s not her. Let’s just say I’m not acting in this segment.”
