Kanye West’s new music video for “Closed on Sunday” is a family affair.
The rapper released the visuals for “Closed on Sunday” from his new Jesus is King album on Thanksgiving Day in the United States on Thursday. It noticeably features West, his wife Kim Kardashian, their children – North West, Saint West and Chicago West – as well as Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian.
“Closed on Sunday” is one of the more divisive songs on Jesus is King. A lyric about Chick-fil-A drew criticism from some LGBTQ supporters. The fast-food chain has had a history of donating to anti-LGBTQ causes.
“Closed on Sunday, you my Chick-fil-A/You’re my number one, with the lemonade/Raise our sons, train them in the faith/Through temptations, make sure they’re wide awake,” the lyrics read.
West addressed the critiques in an interview with Big Boi: “I said George Bush don’t care about black people as soon as I wore a red hat I’m a coon.”
Jesus is King is West’s ninth studio album and was released on Oct. 25 to mixed reviews.
