Conor McGregor Will Return To UFC To Headline Against Donald Cerrone

Two-Division champion Conor McGregor is returning to the UFC for the first time since 2018.

McGregor will face-off against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone for the welterweight main event of UFC 246 ESPN has confirmed.

McGregor has taken time away after being defeated by Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. A post-match incident resulted in fines and suspensions for both fighters as well as Nurmagomedov’s team.

“The Notorious” has also had a number of legal issues outside of the ring.

Over the past year he broke a man’s phone outside a Miami hotel when he tried to take a picture of him, as well, he also punched a man at a Dublin pub.

UFC 246 takes place in Las Vegas on Jan. 18, 2020.
