Sorry Kermit, there is a new favourite in town.
For almost as long as GIFs have been around, Kermit sipping tea has been a favourite and goes for pretty much everything, particularly juicy gossip which Twitter is never short of.

Yet with Baby Yoda starring in “The Mandalorian”, fans have fallen in love with the little munchkin which has spawned a merchandise line already. In the most recent episode, Baby Yoda takes a sip of soup from a mug. While the episode only aired on Friday, Kermit has been quickly pushed aside and it is easy to see why.
When Baby Yoda isn’t busy with his (her?) merchandise line or over-taking Kermit, the Disney character is conquering social media.

In a report from Axios, Baby Yoda has nearly twice as many social media interactions on stories than any of the 2020 Democratic candidates. This doesn’t include memes, GIFs or other content so it is predicted that Yoda’s “reach is probably far wider.”
For comparison, Bernie Sanders has 850 social interactions per story. Joe Biden has 839 and Pete Buttigieg sits at 600. Baby Yoda has a massive 1,671.
Which only leaves one question– Baby Yoda for President?
