“The Irishman” may be a Netflix movie but its director wants people to experience it on the biggest screen they can find.
Speaking to ABC News, Martin Scorsese said that he takes issue with people watching the three-and-a-half-hour epic on their phones.
“I would suggest,” he said, “if you ever want to see one of my pictures, or most films – please, please don’t look at it on a phone, please. An iPad, a big iPad, maybe.”
Despite Scorsese’s intentions, memes about watching “The Irishman” on tiny and unexpected screens have spread across social media.
