Speaking to ABC News, Martin Scorsese said that he takes issue with people watching the three-and-a-half-hour epic on their phones.
“I would suggest,” he said, “if you ever want to see one of my pictures, or most films – please, please don’t look at it on a phone, please. An iPad, a big iPad, maybe.”
Despite Scorsese’s intentions, memes about watching “The Irishman” on tiny and unexpected screens have spread across social media.
